What is it?
Dermapen is a microneedling device that creates tiny channels in the skin with a fine-needle tip. These channels stimulate the skin's renewal process and help vitamins and care ingredients applied in the same session reach the skin.
Treatment areas
- Face: Dullness, pores, fine lines and acne scars
- Lips: Dryness and loss of moisture on the lip surface
- Brows: Thinning and sparse eyebrows
- Scalp: Thinning hair and hair loss (the cause of hair loss is investigated first)
Aftercare
- Redness and mild tenderness usually settle within 1–2 days.
- Do not wear make-up for the first 24 hours; after scalp treatment, do not wash your hair on the first day.
- Avoid saunas, Turkish baths, swimming pools and exfoliating products for a few days.
- Use sunscreen regularly.
Who may not be suitable?
- Pregnancy and breastfeeding
- Active inflamed acne, cold sores or infection in the area
- A tendency to keloid scarring; isotretinoin use in recent months
- Use of blood thinners or clotting disorders
